Well, from the very beginning when buying the tickets, the captain/owner of the business was EXTREMELY rude, he barely acknowledged us. He was not helpful at all when we asked questions on where the boat tour started. Then on the boat, at first it was going well, even though when the captain spoke into the intercom/microphone/loud speaker thing, he mumbled... More

I should have read the negative reviews before we went on this boat tour. They said it all. The captain was not friendly at all, never introduced himself, welcomed the paying customers or gave a safety speech. Hardly said a thing. And when he did it was very hard to understand him. He was late leaving the marina, just drove... More

The men running the show knew about the history of the area, the animals, and the environment. Very knowledgeable. Felt safe and secure under their care, and had a lot of laughs. Saw a few dolphins--no manatees today, but they have been seen in the past week. Also seen full grown bull sharks this past week in the area. Lots... More

We took the tour on a windy January afternoon. The Captain knows where to find dolphins and manatees, when they are in the estuary. He knows his birds. Birders will like this tour. We explored mangrove trees at water edge of islands. We saw an iguana about to prey on shorebird nests. It is true that the Captain does not... More

What's better than 90 minutes on the Indian River Lagoon? Captain Chop knows all there is to know about the ecology, history and environment of the lagoon. And there are dolphins and mantees to see. Our last visit took us to a large pod of dolphins with calves.

Took our grandsons on the tour to see Dolphins and manatee. Called ahead for tickets but on arrival did not have the reservation. Told us he was overbooked and tried to get us to return the next day. 'We insisted that our plans were for that day or not at all, so he sold us tickets.Boat trip was ok, little... More

I'm glad we've been to Florida many times and I've seen a lot of wildlife, because I didn't learn a thing on this trip. Not very educational for those expecting to learn about the Indian River area. Boat ride was lovely as we rode in and around the various coves and inlets. The two "mates" were fine and the one... More

We were looking forward to a nice day on a boat that included information about the animals and area. We did get a nice boat trip but there was little narration and what there was was VERY hard to understand. Some of the information shared by the "spotter" included a manatee can weigh up to 5000 pounds and pelicans weigh... More

The boat ride was enjoyable. We saw manatee, dolphins and many different types of birds. The captain was knowledgeable and informative. The only negative was calling for reservations, which I attempted a few times. No one answered the phone. Eventually, I got a call back from the captain so I could make the reservations.

Cap't Bob does a fine job with his 3 times a day, 7 days a week, 2 hour boat tours. His pontoon boat holds about 26 people comfortably and is easy to find...right at the Tiki Bar restaurant at the Ft. Pierce Marina. Cost is $23 for the 90 minute to 120 minute tour of the estuary which is filled... More
