Our focus is on displaying ecosystems as complex communities of organisms interacting in their environment. At the Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, visitors can explore six different Florida marine habitats and learn about the complexity and importance of marine ecosystems. The largest aquarium is a model of a Caribbean coral reef. Other displays include living models of seagrass, mangrove, estuarine and nearshore habitats, as well as a deepwater Oculina coral reef. There are several smaller aquarium displays and a touch tank where you can meet some of our local sea creatures. Feeding Frenzy tours daily at 10:30am and Snack Time tours daily at 2:30pm. Behind-the-Scenes tour Saturday at 2:00pm.

Even without kids, this was fun and interesting. The volunteers could tell us a lot about the manatees and fish. Great to visit, watch film, look around, find things in gift shop and sit on dock. A few hours at the most --

Walking the long bridge is fine but too narrow for biking. The exhibits are small bet beautiful. Go during feeding time that is fun for all.

Even though this aquarium is small it is very nice. The exhibits are indicative of the marine habitat in this area. There is a small hands-on display that is interesting for both children and adults. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. If you have question feel free to ask. If the person you asked doesn't know the answer they... More

A great little aquarium in a beautiful spot that taught us a lot about the local marine habitat. Would definitely recommend it for locals and visitors alike. Who doesn't want to pet sea creatures?

This small aquarium (and the historical Florida/St Lucie County museum near it) are great for small doses with inquisitive kids. The aquarium docent did a fabulous job of walking through an informative talk about native fish and issues of interest.

Nice small-town feel to this aquarium which Smithsonian partners with. Local sea-life, excellent and informative staff. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff - they seem to enjoy being a part of the educational experience. You can join a guided tour or wander on your own. Takes as few as 10-15 minutes and maybe up to an hour depending on your... More

Great place to take children and adults to find out about the varied Florida cost. Though small, much is packed in and there is even a hands-on rock-pool to discover. Not overly expensive for what it is. Good gift shop
