This is a spacious and beautiful museum, which exhibits a broad selection of artwork in a nicely-lit, professional and well-curated manner. It is not your typical university museum, which tends to try to present an encyclopedia of art from different periods and nations, and has one piece from a number of artists. This institution blends special exhibitions and interesting groupings... More

Unless you're a Florida Gators football fan, there's not much in Gainesville to get excited about. That's why we were so delightfully surprised by our visit to the Harn which turns out to be a small gem of museum. We spent several hours viewing several especially interesting and diverse exhibits ranging from one of prints by Goya, Daumier, Piranesi, Manet,... More

This is a beautiful facility, located on the campus of UF. Is is perhaps the nicest facility I have ever seen, but the broad content was disappointing. There was however a great display of etchings which were world class.

More than you'd expect from a 'free' college art museum. It's an amassed collection of art with lots to see for children and adults. Loved the outdoor garden spaces. No admission charge, although $3 donation is recommended for tours. Make it a day and visit the 'free' Florida Museum of Natural History next door.

This museum, located on the campus of the University of Florida, makes excellent use of its interior and exterior space. I have been to this museum several times and have never been disappointed by the well-curated exhibits. There are several galleries for both permanent and special exhibits. It is easy to navigate the galleries thanks to good signs and maps.... More

It's a wonderful collection of unusual art from paintings, photographs, sculpture and pottery. Loved the individual cheat sheets that described each individual showcase. Easy to understand ! Was an unusual collection for a college art museum

I have been ‘museum deprived’ since moving from the Boston Metro area so decided to visit here for hopefully a fix. I was not disappointed in this small but impressive gem. It is free (donations encouraged) and one can easily do within an hour or more depending on taste. The café was closed when we were there so disappointed. There... More

I hadn't been to the Harn in a few years and headed there while in Gainesville late on a Sunday afternoon. The galleries were almost completely empty so I had Ms. Kahlo to myself not to mention the guerrillagirls exhibit. The gift shop at the Harn is always a favorite stop, too.

You won't believe you're in Gainesville. The Harn galleries are spacious and well-laid out. The art is diverse; we saw everything from a Monet to African masks! The management of the museum is totally professional. They sponsor events for adults; they have an active children's program; they bring in unique traveling exhibitions supplemented with live presentations; they have made the... More
