Heart of Gulfport . Would suggest going. Very laid back, friend atmosphere. Little on the "hippie side". Little consignment shops and art shops, cafes. And on the water. Being local go frequently as an alternative to downtown or beaches

Beach Blvd is such a nice little strip to walk, shop, eat, and listen to music....then turn off on Shore Drive to enjoy watching or participating in a game of beach volleyball or a walk down the pier or enjoy the beach.

I live in Gulfport. I love it here. I have been here one year and find it is the best kept secret in Florida.

We walked up and down the Main Street while waiting for our table at Stella's. Cute shops and friendly people along the street.

As I peruse the 100+ reviews one becomes amused with all the polite code words like "eclectic", "funky", "inclusive", "a mini Key West", and so on. Known this community for five decades -- NOT a place where you let children out to play alone. Each...More
