When a friend of mine was visiting me from New Jersey and we were walking along the beach we decided to walk into the seabird sanctuary. It has since changed owners and seems much cleaner now although there are less birds. It's a good place...More

We stayed in a condo adjacent to the bird sanctuary, Beach Cottages Building one, # 107. We really enjoyed watching the birds fly out to make their daily catch in the morning and swooping in at night in front of our beach balcony. We could...More

My wife and I visit the Seabird Sanctuary every time we visit the beach. Since it has new management, the birds look much happier(if that is possible possible), and the Sanctuary is much cleaner and less smelly! It’s worth a visit. Doesn’t take long, but...More

We have been visiting the sanctuary for many years and we love this place. It’s always sad to see the injuries sustained by these beautiful creatures often due to the ignorance and stupidity of us humans, but great to know that there are people who...More

We stop by anytime we are in the area. We love taking our son to see all the birds. They also accept donations and take care of all bird species.

It's free entry but they rely on donations. Great couple of hours spent here. Make sure you're there at 2.30 for when they feed the pelicans! Shame the gift shop wasn't open as I'm sure we'd have found bits to buy.

Would be a bit of a long walk. Take the trolley that runs all day long, or nice long walk on the beach. Easy access from the beach. Well worth the visit!
