wish this pier was open. but due to storm damage a few years ago, it is closed. We spoke to a local police officeer and he said the cost would be prohibitive

Damaged during Hurricane Matthew. No visible evidence of repairs being done so uncertain when or if the pier will reopen. Such a shame as it was a good tourist attraction.

to bring it back up to it's original grandeur. Would love to take the grand kids up and walk to the end of the pier.

This pier is a favorite fishing spot of mine. You can get bait, tackle, water, soft drinks and food at the little tackle shop. Plenty of free parking

The Jacksonville Beach pier was severely damaged in the Hurricane that hit Jacksonville Beach last fall. The pier is closed off due to instability and part of the pier was swept out into the ocean.

After the hurricane damage the city said they would need over a year to repair it. So I don't think it will be open. But you can driver and park by it a see it.
