I have been visiting Ponte Vedra/Jax beach for many decades but had never stopped in the museum until this trip. The history of the Jacksonville beaches area is fascinating.

This also functions as the Visitor Information Center, and was a great option when we got to the beach and it started to rain. No admission fee. Lots of local Jacksonville history, including a very informative film that takes about 15 min to watch. And...More

The museum is free, and a worthy stop for learning about local history and local artists. They rotate shows, lately of the different beach towns, and their current artists are the three best artists at the Beach, Gary Mack, Linda Olsen, and William Meyer.

In comparison to other, larger museums this one is average but when looking at things to do at the Beaches this should be on the list. The displays are interesting and have depth. The volunteers are knowledgable and passionate about the displays. They wont follow...More
