Fabulous, wide, clean beach with few people and dogs are permitted on leash. Truly a wonderful beach that you could walk for miles. We also rode our bikes and it was smooth and easy. Across from our condo were little tide pools which were perfect for kids to safely play in. One of the best beaches in Florida!

Fernandina Beach has very wide beaches, even when the tide is coming in, and at some points, you can drive on the beach. Regardless, there are many public beach accesses, both walkways and parking areas, and plenty. A great beach to enjoy swimming, sunning, or surf fishing. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the north end of Amelia Island along... More

We just came home from our vacation on Amelia Island. We spent a lot of time walking on the beach. There were very few people on the beach. It was so nice to just walk for miles. We stayed at the Residence Inn which was within walking distance.

We took our granddaughters to go to the beach. Even though the weather was cool they enjoyed walking down the beautiful sandy pristine beach. The beach was not crowded and was super clean. The girls enjoyed finding lots of shells and just sitting and watching the birds and dolphins offshore.

These are some of the best beaches overall in Fl. Easy access mostly. Clean. The people here seem friendlier than some of the beaches on the Gulf side Even in January the water is clean

This is a beautiful area from the lovely town to the beautiful beaches. You can find everything you need to rejuvenate yourself. Find a hotel and stay a few days to really get the feel. You'll probably want to come back. Great restaurants, history abounds and do not miss the white sandy beaches. Unbelievable!

We stopped at Fernandina Beach as an overnight stop on our way to Savannah. The sunrise over the beach is just stunning with the most amazing array of birds that flock the area. Definitely worth a stop just to experience this

Amelia Island is amazing..Clean, perfect in every way. Fernandina Beach is the main "Town" on Amelia Island. It is a restored, normal, not turisty Town. The people are amazing and real Southern polite. Many great Restaurants, no chains on the Island. We stayed at the Omni how do you say PERFECT. We stayed at their Sandcastles Villas, amazing beach front... More

There is nothing more pleasant than relaxing on the beach listening to the Atlantic Ocean crashing onto the sand. Just perfect for families too
