Really enjoyed hanging out in the Amelia Island Historic District. There are lots of lovely little shops and several places to eat and drink! The thing I enjoyed most about it, though, was just the relaxed, easy-going vibe of the area. Really enjoyed our afternoon there and will look forward to going back!

We toured all of AI on our recent trip, but nothing compared to this area! The shops are second to none, the night life is fantastic, pedestrian life at its best! Nothing touristy here, just a really eclectic mix of antiques, jewelry, clothing, food, desserts....there is something here for everyone whether you are young, older, family with kids, or couples.... This was our first time to Amelia Island and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We stayed right in the historic district which is in walking distance to many things. Loved taking the carriage ride and learning about the historic homes and history of the town. We will definitely be going back!

Very cute downtown area typical of Old Florida. Pleasantly devoid of touristy type places. Nice for pedestrians.

Historic downtown is right on the water, easy walking to historic buildings, The Palace Saloon is the oldest operating saloon in Florida. The courthouse is a step back in time- amazing!

The historic district of Fernandina Beach sets Amelia Island apart from other beach resorts. A quick trip in the car takes you from beach paradise to a bustling historic coastal town with a thriving restaurant population.

Our bus tour group had a guided tour through Old town. Loved the history narrative of the old homes and their owners. We saw the beautiful home where Pippy Longstreet was filmed. Very clean and well maintained area. We also walked the area and everything is easily accessible in Old Town.
