The wreck is pretty well broken apart, but there is a lot of sea life here. We saw a turtle, lobster, about two dozen different kinds of fish. Good dive. It did get a little boring given it's not huge and is shallow with lots...More

While not every dive will produce sea turtles, our most recent dives there showed us several different varieties of them. As the photo shows, visibility is weather dependent.

Went diving with my son for first time. We had a great time. Used Ocean Divers and they were EXCELLENT. Their equipment was in really good shape and they made the trip both easy and enjoyable.

Our group had 8 who were doing their checkout dives. Excellent site ranging from 25' to 45'. Just as good for snorkeling with views of the entire wreck form the surface.

The wreck of the Benwood, one of the only actual WWII casualties in the Keys, is like a magnet for fish life of all sorts. Huge schools of snappers and grunts literally cover the wreck during the day, while the nighttime crowd includes hundreds of...More

For my first night dive the wreck was great - easy to navigate, it was a small group so got to see the whole wreck on our own time.

Relative to other better known wrecks in the keys, the Benwood is a disappointment. It's not a must visit wreck relative to like Speigel Grove, Duane and Vandenberg, but the hull remains intact, and it can have some good life both in and around the...More

We snorkeled the Benwood wreck and the view was spectacular! The clarity of the water allowed us to see everything from above. there was a lot of viewable fish and coral. The day we went, the water temperature was warm. Recommend this site!

This is a nice wrack you should log. Choose one of the dive centers and you will love what you see. It is an advanced dive though.

Many schools of Fish... and don't forget to look for the anchor and get your pic with it. Easy to navigate as a diver, can't get lost around a huge wreck! I hear its a great place to night dive too!
