Loved the wreck but the dive center was as miss. useless briefings, bad control and no snacks on board besides a small bottle of water. The wreck is a tick for your bucket list, so make sure if you are a vivid diver to not miss it, but do research on who to go with :)

Seeing the American flag waving in the current was spooky as hell, but the barracuda and other fish down there were amazing to watch poking in and out of the wreck. Highly recommended

This was my 5th dive on the Spiegel Grove. It's an excellent wreck to explore as you have the ability to swim through the ship. When there is a strong current, this makes for a challenging dive, and it would be wise to be inside the ship during these conditions. Be sure to wear gloves in case you need to... More

This is a deep wreck dive. Be prepared. DO NOT take your camera (the depth blew out the seal on mine and ruined it). There is plenty to see and a nice spot to swim thru.

I have been waiting to dive this wreck for months. Finally, the stars aligned and we got to go! We went on the stern of the ship and were amazed by the sea life. This is a must do wreck dive for the avid divers. Cannot wait to go back,

Not the greatest viz on my last trip but man, once you get close you realize the ginormity of this wreck. You could spend weeks and not see it all. Great fish. Lots of penetration points. Nice coral growth. It is the reason to dive Key Largo!

We hit this one jsut right! Everything was going our way, We could see the ship at 20-25 feet on our ascent. mild to no current. This is a great dive, that you have to make several to see it and everything.

If you are Advanced Open Water Certified and you are diving with Rainbow Reef Dive Center out of Key Largo, have them take you to the USS Spiegel Grove! A US Navy ship a few minutes from shore. WOW! Old Glory still flies 85 feet below the ocean's surface. It's an unforgettable experience!

We have dived the Spiegel Grove four times. The first three were good dives. The last one was not because there was a tiring current so we didn't attempt the second dive. The other divers were tech divers who were in the water for a long time. Sitting on the boat waiting for them was not fun. Just an unfortunate... More
