We went too late on a Fall afternoon and didn’t have much time to walk around before closing at 4:00. Next time I would allow more time to walk or ride a bike around and print an internet map of the cemetery.

We circled this cemetery a few times while cruising around on our golf cart. It is a little rough looking, in need of some TLC. Some very interesting tomb stones. Definitely worth a walk through.

This unusual place to spend your time whilst in Key West is indeed strange but worth it. All the graves are above ground and at every turn you'll see chickens, cockerels & iguanas. Contrary to some reviews on here, this place is just a cemetery...More

Took a bike ride through the cemetery at the suggestion of a local resident. Unique above ground crypts and family plots with iguana's sunning themselves make for an interesting ride.

Interesting cemetery to bike to and walk through. A memorial to the USS Maine which was sank in the Havana Harbor during the Spanish-American War.

The cemetery requires you to walk thru it as motorized vehicles are not allowed. I would suggest going in the later part of day to make it tolerable but the site is very cool to walk around.

This is one big cemetery with above ground crypts that are very old and unique. The "drawers" for those who were cremated have small plaques with a message----some that are very humerous "send offs." If you spend a while here, you are likely to see...More

Funny tombstones and gives you a good feeling for old Key West. You can pock up a map/brochure of the place and walk around at your own pace, preferably when it is not too hot (around the middle of the day). My favorite ones: "At...More

Walk through history of Key West's dearly departed and even have a giggle or two (or more) with the humor KW residents often had inscribed on their headstones. Very interesting!
