About
This street is the bustling heart of Key West, and a great spot to experience the city's culture and nightlife. It's filled with fantastic restaurants, lively bars, art galleries, and shops selling unique gifts, clothes, and hand-rolled cigars. And don't forget to stand in line to take a photo at the Southernmost Point Buoy, which is just a block away. In the evening, you sip on a margarita and enjoy an al fresco meal, or join a haunted pub crawl and ghost tour of the area. Visit during the shoulder season between March and May when the weather is still pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. – Tripadvisor

    Beach Shoppers' Paradise
The best prices for beachwear! beautiful sun dresses and cover-ups. Key West tees practically free, everywhere on Duval Street. Had to check my luggage in since we bought so many gifts back for friends/family. Can't find these prices anywhere! After shopping, many yummy restaurants and ice cream or smoothie shops to choose from. Shopping and foods were available late into the night!

One of the best places ever to do a bar crawl.
Different venues, different music styles, different foods, different people, bar after bar. We usually start at Hog's Breath and work out way south. We find a short walk down the side streets will reveal hidden gems. This trip we found a place called Smokin Tuna Saloon and they served dinner until 11:00 PM which was great because we had gotten a late start. Also had a really good hard-rocking band.

    Heart of Key West
Duval Street is where it happens in Key West. Yes, its a tourist trap - but its fun - with plenty of options to eat, drink, and shop. I particularly enjoy the plethora of places to listen to live music and how welcoming it is of the LGBTQ community, with a number of gay options. I wouldn't spend all my time on the island here, but its worth some fun nights.

    Be Happy On Duval Street
Duval Street has endless shops, historical sites, and restaurants to please every age. The atmosphere is one of celebration. Our guide told us that they believe in "one family" to celebrate the good in all people. Everyone was so friendly. Music fills the air as you walk past many open air pubs and eateries. Celebrate happiness on Duval. Wear comfortable shoes because you will want to walk all day so you don't miss a thing.

    Doing Duval Street in Haste
We drove to Key West from Florida City and back in one day so we had little time to spend on Duval Street. However, we were impressed with the quaint, artsy street in the unique environment of Key West. A must do if you visit Key West.

    So much fun!
We found souvenirs, key lime pie(Kermit’s was great!), shaved ice, great views, great shopping, awesome atmosphere all the way; literally up and down from southernmost point to Mallory Square! We loved it, 2 boys 5&7yo. We had fun the whole way, paid for 4 hours and made it back with half hour for the pier. Definitely would be a different experience w/out kids but we loved it! Cuban coffee queen is a hidden gem not to be missed for coffee, breaky or lunch!!

In the evening, the street is full of old drunk people who are barely able to walk straight. In the evening, the street is also extremely crowded and plain trashy. Early in the morning, the street reeks of beer. There is no comparison.

Over rated, over priced, insane car parking fees. Took a drive thru and turned around to find another cleaner, more laid back place to stay

Various boutiques and souvenir shops, tattoo parlors and dozens of bars and restaurants and it's only about one mile long.

My Honey and I stayed on Duval Street for our Valentines Day celebration. We were here Tuesday thru Friday morning so our experience did not include the weekend crowd. This was my first time in Key West so I wanted us within walking distance of all the fun spots in old Town. I haven't been to New Orleans, yet, so I can not attest to being like Bourbon Street. Duval is one of the main roads through Key West Town center, lots of souvenir stores, great restaurants and fun bars. We walked Duval every day several times and we did not find the crowds loud, obnoxious nor overwhelming. We were expecting more police presence since Key West has an open carry law and from the reviews I have read. We only saw two horse mounted officers which was cool. Most of the famous bars ( Sloppy Joe's, Irish Kevin's, Margaritaville, The Bull ) are right on Duval, while Hog's Breath, Capt. Tony's are just off Duval. We enjoyed traversing Duval and we seemed to find more interesting establishments each time we walked. Walking was easy with no solicitation or hassles like in other cities we have visited. We highly recommend checking Duval Street out during your stay in Key West.

I call it the Bourbon Street of Key West. Not a fan of the crowds. A lot of souvenir stores too I tried to avoid it at all cost.

This sort of street is not really our scene but there is a reasonable mix of bars and shops - it is like a mini New Orleans Bourbon street but less rowdy - or it was when we visited during the day time.

The cutie part of town with t-shirts, fudge, ice cream, and key lime whatever’s. Not a big fan of these kinds of places but you have to see it especially at night to get the festival experience.
