An iconic road on which to approach Key West. Great views which I could really enjoy as I wasn't in the driving seat.

Lovely drive through the Keys, though it was disheartening to see the huge piles of Hurricane Irma debris as we drove. Still - it was good to see that the keys are being cleaned up!

We rode the keys after Hurricane Arma Devastation was unbelievable but still most enjoyable ride if you don't have a motorcycle rent a convertible

Awesome views of the ocean as you drive through the keys from island to island. Considering it is the only way in or out traffic moves very smoothly.

Traffic moves smoothly on Rt 1. Surprised by how much of it was 4-lane. Water views are beautiful. :-)

You get to see the Keyes during your drive. Post Irma, a lot of debris on its sides. Enjoy looking out into the ocean as you drive over the bridges!

Being big rail fans we enjoyed this drive immensely. Flagler was a man with a vision and accomplished an amazing feat by connecting these islands. Most of the original rail bed is visible from the new road. A real must see at least once.

Traveling down to key west is always an adventure. Fortunately for us, our last trip was in our motorhome and we have even more gorgeous views. So much to see and stop along the way!

John Pennecamp State Beach is great with lots of options. Check its reviews. There is an entrance fee, but lots of parking, sand for sunbathing, multiple beaches. They have rentals for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding... More
