This is a beautiful drive from Homestead to Key West! Allow plenty of time for sightseeing on your way.

It's so beautiful to look at. The water is so clear and the way it blends together so amazing, a must see.

I was very disappointed in this drive. Before we traveled over it on our way to Key West, I had read somewhere that it is one of the top 10 drives you should do in America in your lifetime. First of all, it is Avery...More

The overseas highway was very scenic in spots, not so much in others. It is only 2 lanes for the most part so delays can be substantial. This road is toll free. Be aware that Florida charges tolls on most of its limited access state...More

Don't be in a hurry, you will miss a lot on the way. This is a beautiful drive with long bridges and blue green water everywhere, boats of all sizes, places to see, state parks to visit and lots of places to eat.

We wanted to see it and you have to do it once. It was good but not too much to see in that areas. The scenary is very nice.

If you drive not so much... but as a passenger the view is great. the 7 mile bridge is wonderful and the boats going under the bridge are fun to watch.

Try the sloppy joes here! The conch fritters were our favorites that we managed to taste on Key West as well. Always packed with people, but for good reason. The live music during the Songwriter's Festival was not to be missed :)

Use to drive on it. Still nice to drive past it . Pieces of it are rusting badly and falling into the water. Irma gave it a nice salt washing. Just glad they built the new one. First time I drove it was in 1973.

We decided to land in Miami and take the road trip from there through the Keys, starting at Key Largo. You can still see devistation from hurricane Irma, but the recovery that the islands are striving for is uncanny. The trip was long, but the...More

Boring? Driving through the many keys the Florida Keys has with island life attractions such as feeding tarpons, some great restaurants on the water, music, shops, deer sitings, dolphin research center, etc... and bridges... More

I believe the Florida Turnpike has tolls through Florida City which is the gateway to the keys. You might be able to avoid tolls by slower routes to Florida City. If you have a rental car you can buy a SunPass at Publix.
