We hit the lighthouse right after the Hemingway tour (which was excellent!). I didn't mind paying the admission price since the money supports the Key West Art and Historical Society. The grounds are very well maintained. The hike to the stop of the lighthouse is...More

This lighthouse is on Whitehead St., one block west of Duvall, right across from Hemingway's house. Its 88 steps to the top and is a neat view. The gift shop is pretty cute too!

Well... $10 for an adult entrance is a bit steep considering that this place offers nothing but the view for a certain amount of time.

Typical lighthouse with a quartermasters house. A bit of history on lighthouses in the area and the keepers that manned them. $10 for adults. $5 for students with IDs. Nice view of Key West from the top. If you like lighthouses you will like this...More

Seen one, you,ve seen them all. All that was different was location. Some people love lighthouses and the location was lovely, but it is an ordinary lighthouse

An enjoyable bit of Key West history that gives you a real feel for life back in the early days of the area. A very climbable lighthouse ("shorter" than most) that provides an excellent 360 degree view of Key West.

Climbing the 88 stairs to the top of the lighthouse and seeing the views was worth it. It is nice to get a sense of orientation and perspective. The story behind the lighthouse is interesting too. They have a small gift shop as well.

The walk up was not at all difficult and I am NOT in shape. The view was amazing. I didn't want to come back down. Great photo opportunity and a nice breeze completed with a view of the island from every angle. Wonderful.

We went there mid-day and it was not crowded. It's 86 stairs so you need to be able to climb but not an athlete. 360 degree view of the island.

Key West Lighthouse isn't the only lighthouse in the Keys, but is the one you can get into. Definitely worth the cost to get in. You can see a lot when you get up to the light. Great picture opportunity. They also have a small...More

I believe it was $10 a person. However, I am a Coast Guard Veteran and they admitted me and my family for free.

Unlike some of the other light houses this one does not have landings to rest on. I have a bad back and weak legs, and asthma, it was a struggle for me but i made it and it was well worth the struggle.
