The tour is a lot of fun and you get a great deal of information when on it. I will give one warning, bring cash, they no longer accept credit cards or anything else except cash. The tour runs about 45 minutes and then you are free to wander back through the house at your pace. We had no idea... More

You may independently roam the house and the property but the tour guide added to our experience. The house has interesting pictures and tells about his boat "Pilar", his multiple wives and friends. The writing room is of particular interest, seems untouched from the time he was there.

We visited the Hemingway home sort of on a lark, we took the guided tour and our guide was extremely knowledgeable, while maintaining her humor.Unless you are a Hemingway aficionado, I highly recommend the guided tour.

This is an interesting look at the life and times of Hemingway. If you are a fan, then it will be much more meaningful. Best to see this one first before seeing the Truman Little White House opr this may be a bit of a let down. If you are allergic to cats, this may not be your best bet... More

Excellent value. Fun, interesting and entertaining. Lush estate grounds. After the optional guided tour we leisurely roamed the home and estate. Gardens with seating to relax. Hemmingway's pet cat descendents are everywhere but friendly. They add life to the museum aspect of Hemmingway's home.

Our tour director, Doug, did such an excellent job telling us about Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway was indeed "the most interesting man in the world." I now want to read his books and watch the movies associated with him. The house and grounds are beautiful, too! Definitely recommend this visit!

The tour is about 35 minutes long. It's very interesting. The cats are quite unusual. I have to say that the place does smell a bit like cat pee. It's faint but how could it not smell with so many cats around. YOU CAN ONLY PAY IN CASH
