We very much enjoyed this attraction. It opens at 9:00 am and the first tour starts wen there are enough people (ussually around 9:20). Go early, certainly before the cruise ship dumps thousand of people on the island. Do not miss the tour, full of great information. Tour takes about thirty minutes. Leave enough time to walk around and take... More

I went because my wife wanted to go and I'm glad we did. Suggest you take the narrated tour instead of just going through on your own. The tour is included in the $13 admission. If your a cat lover this is a must to see the 53 cats with half of them having 6 plus toes. The tour makes... More

Informative, short visit. Witty tour guide! Caution for people allergic to cats as there arev50+ on the property though well-ventilated.

This was $13 well spent. They offer free tours. The tour guides are very knowledgeable. It's nice to walk around where Hemingway wrote a majority of his work. It is also nice to visit with the 6 toes cats that are everywhere. The cats are allowed inside the house and on furniture. The grounds are beautiful.

This piece of history is something that should be done when visiting Key West. The guided tour is recommended. When compared to other visits to places like this, it seemed that the $13 cash-only price is a bit high for what you receive. At the end of the day, it appears that the only outdoor maintenance is for the 60+... More

I am ashamed to say I did not know much about Hemingway, I found the tour of the house so informative. We did the tour first then went on a walk around at our own place and had the time to take photos. The cats were the best big they are everywhere and I loved the fact the went wherever... More

Our tour guide was very good. Didn't hint for a tip but deserved one! Kept it short, informative and constantly moving. 5 toed cats are certainly intriguing. Well worth the entrance fee of $13.
