Museum in the former firehouse. Has lots of interesting artefacts including old helmets, fire fighting equipment & call bells but what makes this place great are the stories, as told by the volunteer staff who are retired firefighters. Learn about the history & key fires...More

You can learn a lot about a city and its architecture by looking back at its tragic moments. Fire played a big role in early Key West and this museum does a good job of telling the story and displaying past forms of apparatus.

Small but interesting place to hear about the history of the Key West Fire Dept. Great artifacts, nice exhibits. Retired Fire Chief Castro gave a great tour outlying the history as well as the modern day department.

The museum and tour were both interesting and informative! Fire Chief Castro gave us a great tour, was a wonderful Key West historian and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Don't miss this tour!

Former chief Eddy Castro made the tour very interesting by adding first hand knowledge and interesting back stories to the exhibits. Chief Castro’s passion as a firefighter came through during the tour.

This museum was wonderful. A must see for any fireman or any one curious about the hard work these heroes do. There is also a lot of fascinating Key West history to be learned here.
