I have been to other Butterfly exhibits in the past but this was beautiful. The plants, birds and butterflies were gorgeous. I suggest adding it to your list of "must see" stops in Key West.

So I'm going to lie on the date here but I came here in July of 2011. I never got to do a review on it but I throughly enjoyed being able to walk about the area with the butterflies and birds. My nephew was young and he enjoyed it. Near the exit you could actually see the chrysalises of... More

They have many beautiful butterflies that fly around you all the time. There are also birds, but you need to look carefully and be lucky to see them. My 2 years old liked it. But it is very small.

A perfect reminder of how Mother Nature can take your breath away. Lovely staff and fun gift shop. A must see when in Key West.

This place is awesome! Butterflies all over-either flying about, resting, or at the eating stations of various fruits all around. Add to that birds and two flamingos, and it's magical. There's also an exhibit of the chrysalis "nursery" where if you're lucky, you can see one emerging from its cocoon. Well worth the stop!

A very peaceful refuge from the activity on Duval St. To enhance enjoyment, read the short but very interesting educational placards on the wall of the entry room about the lives of butterflies (for example, they taste with their feet, migrate and have mating rituals). The area with butterflies is fairly small but populated by hundreds of these gorgeous delicate... More

The smile on my face was constant from the time we entered the butterfly conservatory until we left. The magical creatures flitted everywhere, and one even landed on my hat, allowing me to carry it around for several minutes! Unusual birds also populate the Eden-like enclosure and added to our delight. This is a must-see!

I have been several butterfly conservatories in the past and this pales in comparison. It is small and there is not much variety in the butterflies.

Butterflies, birds and flamingos oh my! It is especially fun if you are with small children, or if small children are in the vicinity. Watching their faces is priceless.

Be aware that the greenhouse really is a greenhouse...so it's warm! Turn your phones to airplane mode before you enter, which I'm glad they require. There are butterflies everywhere! Be careful where you step. One did indeed land on me with a broken wing (see photo). There are also birds that chirp beautifully with the peaceful music playing in the... More
