We did the "Sunset Tour." This is a good trip for first time kayakers in Islamorada. The guide will take you through the mangrove tunnels and point out notable wildlife and plants. The mangroves are a maze of channels and tunnels that would be easy to get lost in for a first timer. In the end we were treated to... More

We chose The Kayak Shack at Robbie's Marina because they rent kayaks by 1 hr, 2 hrs, half or full day. Having never kayaked before and both old enough to almost be grandparents of the workers we decided on 1 hr. The guys showed us how to paddle, helped us get in and settled, and gave us a map. We... We had a great time paddling through the mangroves. The folks at Kayak Shack even hooked us up with a cooler for our adventure. If you find yourself at Robbie's or anywhere on Islamorada, check it out. They have great boats and terrific routes for any time window you may have.

Located at Robbie's (Mile Marker 77 of US-1), the Kayak Shack offers kayaks, paddle boards, and jet skis for use in the amazing waters of Florida Bay, and Atlantic Ocean. We've rented paddle boards from Kayak Shack whenever our adult children visit so they can experience first hand the amazing birds, fish, reptiles, and mammals that live in, and around... More

This entire area is great...especially families. We rented 2 double kayaks and headed off to Indian Key. Our kids are young so my husband and I did all the work ..... it took us longer than it would have if we had 2 paddlers per kayak but it was still close and very manageable. The staff was extremely helpful and... More

The Kayak Shack at Robbie's is the perfect place to spend the day on the water! This was our first kayak adventure and now we're hooked! Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. We rented for half a day-4 hours and paddled out to Indian Key Island - A Must See! - and then came back and did the mangroves.... More

OUTSTANDING service and advice from Mitchell! Had a GREAT 2 hour self guided tour. Saw dolphin, jellyfish, birds, and even an crocodile! Too windy (for us) to go out to the island, but the trip under the mangrove tunnels was simply BEAUTIFUL (and sheltered from the wind ! ) ... A must do for all ages and abilities !

Holy Cow, the things we saw today! We went out yesterday to do some kayaking and ended up booking the 2hr jet ski adventure package as I call it. Not only did we get to break up our 4 hour kayak trip but we also were able to plan our jet ski portion on another day. These guys were VERY... More
