We had such a fun time learning all about the trees and botanical gardens. I loved that he asked what we thought things were and made you think. My Daughter loved it so much she made him a card. That is saying something if you...More

A unique and well-preserved ecosystem amidst the throngs of traffic and tourists in the Middle Keys. It was wonderful to learn of the native plants superbly adapted to this unique environment. Also saw the nesting ospreys with their fledgling chick. The tour of the historic...More

Informative rangers, beautiful boardwalk. Lots to see and do. Just check the Florida State Park website and double check the times that the island is open. Worth it to take the tour for 2 dollars extra. See you guys next year!

Being able to see what Florida looked like before Disney and all the strip malls and gated communities is gold. Enjoy walking paths through mangrove forest and mud flats. You never know what wildlife might show up.

We visited this park and found it's history and plant life interesting. I don't see this as a place you would go back to time and again, but a part of the Keys' history worth visiting once, especially at the $2.50 admission fee.

The state park ranger did an outstanding job of explaining the history, flora and fauna at this park. Definitely worth the visit. Bring some repellent or be prepared for bites.
