Do not leave the Keys without snorkeling at Sombrero Reef. It is as if you are dropped right into an aquarium. We saw nurse sharks, eels, barracuda, many tropical fish, sting rays and other sea life. It was amazing!

Snorkeled the reef. The current was a little strong in the beginning, but so worth it. The amount of life in the reef is amazing. So beautiful.

Very shallow but there is great sea life to see. Lots of fish, corals and invertebrates to see. Not a bad boat ride if the seas are calm.

My family took a snorkeling tour through starfish snorkeling and had a great time at this spot. Beautiful reef with lots of fish even a few nurse sharks. We will definitely be back to this spot when we return to the keys.

I would suggest a skin. If the sun is out it will be fine since you are on the surface. But don't risk ruining your trip by being cold!!
