Beach has limited shade and lots of sea grass in the water. Also saw signs that warned of Portuguese Man of War. I went for a long swim and did not see any but was a bit worried about getting stung. It was nice for...More

Hurricane Irma is on the way so that might account for the lack of people. Nice stretch of beach, water was warm, a lot of seaweed. Some shade, restrooms close, picnic tables, and playground area. Lovely breeze coming off the water. Spent the entire day...More

This is on Marathon and not far from our motel. Make sure you wear sunscreen. Had a great time!! Wear water shoes for walking on the reef and plants...

We rode bikes to the beach from our resort in Marathon, swam, bought ice cream from an ice cream truck, and felt like kids again. A perfect family beach.

We stopped here for the kids to swim and snorkel on our way to Key West. There wasn't much room or beach area and there was a lot of seaweed so we didn't stay. We continued driving.

The Florida Keys doesn't have the great beaches. We visited one in Key Largo, one in Islamorada, one in Key West, and two in Marathon area. This one was the best one by far. Decent sand. Fair size. Some okay Snorkeling.

No. There are no docks. There are several areas along the coast, close to Sombrero beach where you can dock, but not on the beach itself.
