Not easy to reach, but clean beach with several available picnic areas, as well as, trash receptacles. Picnic areas offered shade and picnic tables.

Had a great time at Sombrero Beach. Has play area for kids and large bathrooms. Plus it’s free!! Sand fleas are awful this year in the Keys so be prepared with bug spray in addition to sunscreen!

Very nice beach! This year is a bad year for seaweed, but it was piled up nicely and we only had to step over it to get to the water. The down side- the foot shower at the entrance was not working!

This beach is a great place to take in some sun, play beach volleyball, splash in the water and then read under the shade of a palm tree. There are a few pavilions, too. Good, clean facilities. Parking is decent and it's FREE.

If you want beach's, stay in Miami. Otherwise, head to sombrero. Quaint little beach. Clean. Has various pavilions for picnics, etc. Nice place to spend the afternoon in the sun.

This is a large beach for the Keys. Lots of soft sand wide open spaces. The seaweed on the main beach is a real drab and rather unpleasant. If you go down to the little cove at the end of the beach there is a...More

Good place for kids to play in the water and on the playground equipment. There was quite a bit of seaweed and some of the structures are being restored, but my kids enjoyed it.

They had very nice ones. Irma did a job on all of the beach facilities. Don’t know when things will be repaired and back to normal.

Yes most of the beach is covered in feet of sand, they have bulldozing to clean up but have a long way to go. There is a small area open now
