It's a long, narrow beach and they don't clean up the old seaweed that washes up (very natural and environmentally sound) so it does smell. The water looked OK. We were there in early Aug at mid-afternoon and there was only one group of about...More

Horrible! You start smelling the rotten sea walking towards the beach. The mounds and mounds of sea grass all over the beach and the water is brown!

Just go ahead and stay in Key West. The keys are not a “beach” destination. This community does not respect their town. Trash everywhere! No clean up efforts after storm. Not much to do in Marathon. A lot of businesses still closed. We did eat...More

We stayed at a condo next to this beach. It is one of the better Keys beaches because it is a real beach with soft sand. Quiet and never crowded. In fact, almost no one really on it. There was quite a bit of garbage...More

With probably the best beach in the area out of commission at Bhia Honda State Park, CoCo Plum on Marathon Key looked pretty good. When we were there no one was swimming, so I wouldn't call it a swimming beach. However since its been improved...More

Short beach from parking lot to the water, but if your kids love finding shells, coral pieces and hermit crabs they will love it. And they probably won’t mind the smell from all the dead sea creatures that left the shells behind. You can only...More

A lovely, relatively small beach on Marathon Key. Nice little parking lot right at the beach. Short walk to the sand. Pet Friendly. Beautiful view, clear water. Just lovely.

We went to this beach last year and there was very little beach even at low tide. I guess the hurricane added sand as now the beach is much larger and they rake it to keep it clean. We took our dog and it is...More

We stopped here just to walk the beach. We found many different types of shells and sea life. It was very nice.

88-91 degrees in February, people are courteous (dogs are allowed) and picked up after animals. Would be perfect if they had beach clean up, the storm from Nov is still present.
