A good place to go for a walk or just enjoy the green and some animals...we tried to rent a bike but it wasn't available today...You can do some kayak too.

Firstly there is a review of Ruba Park which is not Shingle Creek so ignore in context of this place and no idea why it is even on here? We stayed near to this and drove past it and we did not know what it was when we drove in. It is an absolute oasis in the midst of such... More

Looking for something a little different to do and we discovered Shingle Creek. Took a 2 person kayak out for a 2 hour excursion down the river. The attendant at the rental place was very friendly. He gave us brief overview of the area and set us up with our equipment. Would definitely recommend!!

There are a couple of locations that are part of this park. One of the locations is the Ruba location, which is on the other side of Bronson from the paddling center. My family and I stopped at this park for lunch and to have the kids get a little energy released. The play ground area is small, but nice.... More

Was my first experience on a Kayak, they explained us how to handle the oars, how to stop, and to handle it. It was fun, really we enjoyed it. The park is beautiful, you're in touch with nature. They were two hours of relaxation, fun and would repeat. The employee who greeted us on September 14, around 1pm, was very... More

My two aunts from Louisiana came to visit us in Kissimmee in July. We decided to take them to Shingle Creek Park to investigate the area since my husband and I had never been there either. The park has a nice walking area on the creek side. People were kayaking. It was very serene. We drove over to other part... More

We was recommended this place from my brother, was a bit worried about floating down a river in a kayak(canoe) knowing alligators and other things could be very near by, but so so glad I went. The staff are very friendly and informative and very reasureing. After just a small paddle we felt as if we was in the middle... More

My daughter and I went kayaking and hiking here. It was beautiful there. I was a little hesitant about kayaking as I never did it before but they have double kayaks for the inexperienced. It was fun.......but be sure to bring sunscreen, water and a snack.

We had a couple hours and wanted a peaceful place to ride our bikes. This was excellent! Wonderful, wide wooden paths (once you figure out where to find the start (look behind the Kayak Rental shak). We enjoyed all the plant markers, the old sawmill equipment, the family home (1911) and the Caretaker's Home(1920). Everything was in excellent repair.
