Rather disappointing since we saw almost no birds or any other wildlife. Also the trails were not that well marked. Since I have some mobility issues I appreciated the benches that were on the trail.

We needed to get out and stretch our legs and burn off some calories halfway through our vacation in Florida so the wife and I went for a little walk around the preserve. It's a little ways out from Kissimmee but the drive is easy and when you get there the parking and entery are free. Now we normally walk... More

This preserve is well maintained as all Disney sites are. It offers a good retreat from the noise of Orlando. We enjoyed a good hike through the flora and fauna in this large preserve . We saw little in the way of wildlife other than a mouse and a butterfly. Perhaps they could reintroduce native deer etc to the area.... More

Close with a nice quiet walk. Did the 6 mile loop. Very flat. If you are looking for a nice quiet spot to walk off a few calories, this is it. Didn't see much wildlife. Very typical of central Florida landscape.

We took the 6 mile trail early on a Sunday morning. The only thing we saw were a couple white tailed deer, not even any birds. The walk to the lake is short and worth the visit but the rest is pretty much the same all the way around. Make sure you bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent.... More

A great place to find some peace away from the theme parks and shopping centres. We visited one afternoon, and there were about 5 other cars in the car park, and we only saw 4 other people. There are two walking routes marked, and there are lovely views of the lake. Another bonus is that it is free!

We took the 6 miles trail, on a weekday morning. Very quite, saw no other hikers and no wildlife. A little disappointed, with the "Disney" name we were expecting a more exciting destination. Nice walk in the fresh air, but not worth the time when there are so many other exciting places to visit in the area.

Enjoyed the 2 mile walk. Quiet. Looked for birds animals and snakes. No entrance fee and a nice escape from the crowds.
