Learned much about the local wilderness and how it was established with a super guide, Daniel Cole. I believe this is a much overlooked opportunity to see a unique activity/site managed by the Nature Conservancy.

When you're ready to escape the hustle of life, this is a great place to visit. I took the short trail; <3 miles, I believe. I would recommend proper footwear; a more sturdy shoe than tennis shoes. The peaceful sound of the wind blowing through the trees was the loudest noise enjoyed. Again, a great escape.…

Most of the reviews read prior to our experiencing Disney Wilderness were what we encountered. Trails were very easy to walk. We saw no wild life except for dragon flies and butterflys and not many of them. There were benches usually at crossing points or at the end of the trail. If you have a person with you who needs to rest frequently you may want to reconsider. The trail to the lake has a bench and picnic table and shade. Some of the reviews indicated the trail being mudding. It was plain to see why as there were areas which were lower on the trail and you could see where the mud could be a problem.
