On Oct.02, 2016 I visited the Lackland, FL Air Museum. Hoping to see something I had once flown, maybe a vintage Super Cub PA-18. (105hp Lycoming engine, aviation cadets called it the "Fabric Fortress.") My first solo, sweet little tail-dragger, flew itself. There was no PA-18 but lots of vintage and rare planes, both prop and jet. During the Sun... More

This is a great must visit air museum, not easy to locate, came across by accident so could do with a bit more publicity. Not the cheapest place but its still good value.

This is a very small museum but has lots of information if you are a reader. My son wanted to see more planes. The gift shop wasn't too great either. I appreciated the staff's enthusiasm about their museum but we've been to others that have been better. We only were there 30 minutes.

Wanted to do something different while in Florida and saw this on the Kissimmee web site , this has an interesting array of planes and information on the airplane parts , clean, tidy and well laid out , it does not take up much time to view and there are some interesting planes outside , the one thing it does... This place is the "place" for those who love airplanes and let your imagination run wild. We got to see planes of all kinds. Some of them you could sit in. There were plenty of things to buy or in some cases were free. Would do this again.. Just be prepared to walk, and if you can handle it, bring... More

Recommended in local tourist mag. Found the displays and exhibits fresh and informative. Loved the Hall of fame display and the level of detail about Howard Hughes' achievements.

Was in Lakeland for both work and pleasure over a 4 day long weekend and was looking for things to do in the area. I unexpectedly found this museum while exploring the area and must say it was quiet a nice surprise to stumble upon. If you like aviation and history then this is the place for you. Very affordable... More

We completely loved this place! Worth the admission cost and the souvenirs are a great price. Friendly and helpful staff. Not only do they have plenty of planes and flight related things, they also have games, quizzes, and other activities. Outside you can get some hands on fun. I suggest going to the big event that they have as it... More

I must say this was one of the best experiences I've had in a museum. This place is loaded with history. There are several things to do as far as hands on goes which made this the best experience. I got my hubby and I a Groupon for 15.00 not sure what the actual price is but I'm sure it's... More

Make sure that you walk around outside to see the planes displayed around the building. They have a nice variety in and outside. Great little pit stop if you are in Lakeland. There is a big covered area outside with tables if you pack a picnic.
