Well maintained beach with soft powder sand. Beach chairs ($5) and umbrellas ($10) for rent which was nice. If you have time, the shopping at John's Pass is nice and there are restaurants there too.

Madeira Beach is a lovely white sand beach. There are many nice access points along route 666 (no joke, the "highway to hell"). The beach is clean, although it is lined by a string of hotels and condominiums as far as the eye can see.

These areas of Central Florida, i.e. the Gulf Coast beaches are primarily not too overbuilt with anything too high or too fancy. And this is the Madeira Beach. Very peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, clean, but not too brushed or 'polished', with some not too upscale rental properties and mid-range hotels facing the Gulf. The Madeira beach is very wide and flat,... More

An excellent area to visit. The beach is impressive, clean and well maintained. I power walked 3 miles and back with more miles available. The area is across the street from John's Pass, a great location of restaurants, retail stores, bars and ice cream shops.
