While the Florida Caverns were nice, they cannot compare to the Mammoth Caves or Carlsbad Caverns. If you have never been in a cave before, then the Florida Caverns is a nice beginning. The tour guides (two young women) kept passing on ridiculous facts. They told the group of 25 that if you used a flash when taking a picture... More

The Florida Caverns State Park is truly a hidden gem. It was so neat. The tour took about 1 hour and what a neat experience it was! It was also very educational too. My 13 year old loved it. Also, I recommend walking the trails around the caverns. It was a beauty.

Overnight camping and a tour of the caverns. We loved the clean quiet campgrounds and appreciated the clean updated bath house. Large sink and coin laundry was an added bonus. We had a paved site but as we walked around we noticed there were some with dirt and some with gravel as well. The cavern tour was interesting and our... More

Imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered Florida has caverns! My husband and I have been to caverns in Tennessee and Texas, so we were excited to visit one in our home state. Florida Caverns State Park is approximately 5 hours northwest of Tampa and is located west of Tallahassee. There is a $5 entry fee into the park... More

Perfect day to bathe in natural Florida beauty. Tour guide was very personable, knowledgeable and funny. Breathtaking beauty inside the caves, as well as Blue Hole Springs. So glad we made the trip from East Central FL.

We took the Accommodated Tour of the Caverns for my wife who has a disability. It couldn't have been better. They had their own scooter for her and took her through most of the caves on a one on one basis. She felt like a normal person and the Park Service went beyond the call of duty to make a... More

We stayed in the Blue Hole Campground area. It is a small camping area with, I would say, less than 50 sites but provides all the amenities needed in a welcoming camping experience. Sites are very spacious and provide picnic tables, firerings and all hook-ups (electric, water, & sewer) right at each site. Sites are wooded enough to give some... More
