We drove from Central Florida (4.5 hour drive) to visit the caves and spend a couple days in Marianna. We had no problem getting into the park, finding the the visitor center or getting our tour on a Sunday. In fact, we only had to wait approximately 10 minutes before our tour began. The caves were beautiful. I wish the... More

Almost wimped out! Some low ceilings where we had to stoop. No bats! Well lit and clean. Room after room of charming formations (Wedding cake, Donald Duck, Christmas Tree,etc.). Guide polite and entertaining. Loved the heart room! Easy 30 minutes. Nature trails outside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip through the caverns. My mom was skeptical as she has pretty significant claustrophobia, but she powered through it and was glad she did. It's really cool to see all the cave features. Highly recommended.

Camping here was fun. The campground hosts are nice, the bathrooms are clean, the cavern tour was worth it and if you go off the beaten path a little you will find beautiful rock formations, caves and plant life all around.

We drove 4 hours from north central FL to Marianna to visit the caverns with family from NYC and had a wonderful tour-guide named Shelby take time to answer questions and show us so many interesting details about the natural beauty and history of the caverns. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. The rest of the state... More

This campground was beautiful. Giant trailer/tent lots with trees. Water, electric and sewer on every site. Clean bath house. Right across the street from the bathhouse was a trail to the stream that lead to the swimming hole. Water was low due to April's drought but it was still lovely. Right beside the dumpster are three more trails. Did red... More

Florida Caverns State Park is well cared for the Park Rangers. Now is a great time to visit because its not the busy time of year for visitors. The caverns are a little cooler so take a sweater. The formations in the cavers are breathtaking.

The caverns are a must-see, and we had a great tour guide (Shelby). The Blue Hole swimming spot is lovely even if you don't go swimming. Geology comes alive. Florida has more than beaches.
