Amazing cruise. We took the cruise at 18.00 hr.
We had an amazing sunset and a night view at the end of the cruise. During the cruise there was enough sunlight to see the mansions.
We (couple in their 30s) entered the raffle. We were told we could win a vacation. We got selected (it’s not an actual raffle, but a selection. They preferably select young couples without children).
We were offered 3 choices. A 3-5 day cruise, a 7 night condo stay or a 2-3 day hotel stay. We chose the 7 day condo stay. We had to pay $40 which was refunded at the hotel.
We had to endure a 2- 2.5 hour presentation by interval world at the Newport beachside hotel & resort. There was a traveling consultant trying to sell us a lifetime package with some advantages (cheaper hotel stays, discounts on cruises). They were not taking no for an answer!!! So annoying, trying to push us for a downpayment of almost $3000 and monthly payments of $250 for 8 years. We kept refusing multiple times but they kept pushing until I said no that’s our final answer.
Afterwards we got the 7 day gift certificate (not used yet) , our refund and a $30 voucher for the bar/grill at the Newport beachside hotel.
We could also use their private beach for the day which was nice.
The island cruise (Elian) also arranged an Uber for us to get at the hotel. We did not have to pay for that. He was very responsive to WhatsApp messages. Overall a nice experience minus the guys from interval world.

We loved our afternoon on the boat, seeing Miami from the water. What a relief from the traffic! Our knowledgeable guide entertained us with facts, history, and trivia of the skyline, islands, and celebrity mansions as we saw them. it as a great way to see and learn about the area.

We have done this boat tour several times. This time we booked it through the Go City Pass Miami. I can't say whether that had an impact on the length. In any case, the tour was a lot shorter and more stripped down than in the past. We saw a lot fewer houses than the last few times, and the tour also went to the container port, which alone took almost 30 minutes. It wasn't really worth seeing!

This was a last minute booking so we didn't get time to read the reviews before going. Just thought I'd post how a good trip was ruined by a raffle. In fact an entire day of our holiday was ruined by this raffle! DO NOT ENTER.
The boat itself was okay for the views but very run down inside with garden chairs as seats. Get to the queue like half an hour early if you want a spot by the window.
Honestly didn't think it was worth the money for a family as we paid over $100 for it. Also the lady narrating was just monotonous which meant that nobody could possibly have any enthusiasm thanks to her.

The boat tour by Island Queen is comfortable, spacious, on time and provides great views. However, there tour information provided by the tour guide was delivered exremely rapidly and the content was at bare minimum just slightly exceeding what can found on a generic pamphlet.We learned very little over this gorgous 90min tour when there was so much to see and learn about. If you are interested in fun ride and great views this is a tour for you, but if you are interested in learning about about Miami city, architecture, buildings, more than 5 celebrity houses, and islands, choose a different tour.

We bought the ticket at the company kiosk asking as a condition that there was still room on the upper deck. They assured us yes. When boarding they didn't let us board saying it was full. When we asked to board the next boat we were told very rudely that the boats were all full and booked for the whole day and it was not possible to change. On the lower deck the air conditioning temperature was freezing, full of noisy children, the boat was also quite dirty. Experience to forget.

Ugh. What a waste of time. Wasted precious vacation time trying to get to the boat on time. Ended up waiting at the tacky mall for a long time prior to boarding. Boring and not worth your time or money.

Customers be aware! I bought 1 photo package after the tour. I checked my bank statement and noticed that they charged me for 2 packages ($72!!). I tried to contact the company, but they told me that it was a third party photo provider. I was told that someone would contact me. As you understand, nobody has contacted me and returned my money.

I took the Island Queen Cruise and the staff was great! The host narrator was very funny. I won a free vacation and Miosotis was very nice and informative. I would definitely recommend the Island Queen Cruise to anyone visiting Miami.

I had booked this on line before taking a cruise out of Miami. I called a week out to verify the times the MR cruise left . I was told they start at 10:30, then 11:00 and on the hour after that, no one said to book a definite time...SO when we got to the dock and wanted to take the 10:30 or 11:00 cruise, they were full. I asked for a refund because we needed to get to airport and coundn't take a later one. I was given the info to call. They will not refund my $$ because their cancel policy says you have to cancel 2 days prior. I contacted them to explain about misinformation on booking exact time of cruise, but got no money back. Very disappointing..........
