About
A foodie’s and art lover’s haven, Wynwood is one of Miami’s liveliest and most walkable districts. It is home to craft breweries, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine and dozens of nightclubs, making it one of the busiest areas of the city after sunset. Wander through the colorful streets to view enormous murals and stop by the Wynwood Walls and the Museum of Graffiti if you’re a fan of street art. You can also visit The Margulies Collection to wonder at bold contemporary creations.
A food and art tour is a great option to learn more about the area’s vibrant culture from a local. – Tripadvisor

- Dawn CAvon, Indiana12 contributionsEclectic neighborhood known for graffitiEclectic area with focus on graffiti- therefore outdoor free spaces to explore. I would recommend true exploration during daytime hours as the area encompasses a ghetto with many closed down stores and dark alleys. My small group of 3 adults felt safe the entire time but we were aware of where we were when it became dark. The area had a variety of food options and the. Wynwood Walls “museum” was worth the visit. A hidden gem of Miami. We stayed in an air bnb and had access to everything we needed without transportation. We stayed as an add on before a cruise - the Miami airport and cruise port are both nearby.Visited December 2022Travelled with friendsWritten 31 December 2022
- AMsaysThornhill, Canada4,056 contributionsEclecticThis artsy neighbourhood is known for its bold evocative art on building facades, walls and the like. Sometimes the messages on these hand painted murals are a little obtuse and even dark, but the skill and talent is undeniable. The art is found on several city blocks and is considered the highest concentration of street art anywhere in the world. Within this area is an outdoor museum Wynwood Walls that has many contemporary artists exhibited. There is also a Wynwood Walk that takes people on walking tours and explains what they are seeing. Nowadays, this area has become very trendy with many fashionable shops, galleries and eateries locating here.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 March 2023

We absolutely loved the Wynwood area and spent a full day wandering the streets and taking in the huge amount of street art. There were interesting shops and nice, trendy cafes to be found.

Wynwood is cool! Love the food and culture here! But the weather can be a bit humid in the summer! Be sure to pack some sunscreen!

“ Wynwood Miami, run by the Wynwood Business Improvement District”. Do you need to know anything else? A developer bought up what used to be the arts district. With the stated intention of turning it into Williamsburg. He succeeded.

We really enjoyed strolling around the area and admiring the street art. No need to pay to go to Wynwood Walls, just loop round the streets near there to see the free art.

Are there toilets available at the Wynwood Walls?

No there are no restrooms, but there are plenty of restaurants, art exhibition centers that have restrooms and they don't bother the tourist for using it.

Hi! It is free to watch the murals or it is necessary to buy a ticket to get in?
Thanks.

I live in Miami and agree with foofan13... the closest is Miami Beach via I95 East, the Arthur Godfrey Road. 6 miles sounds about right. It takes you directly into the Mid-Beach area (the Fontainebleau, Eden Roc, Faena hotels).

Saludos

Hello all! My best friend will be visiting Tuesday-Thursday. Unfortunately he won't be here over the weekend. Is one of these weekdays more fun/lively than another to visit Wynwood? And what's a good time to be there? Lunchtime or early dinner?
