Came here for something different than the typical beach crowd and absolutely loved it. They had free tacos on a Tuesday night and decided to give them a go. The tacos were actually pretty good considering what we were expecting. They offer several specials throughout the week, and they cater an array of people. The DJ(s) play ALL of the music. There wasn't a specific genre, but a mix of everything to keep the groove going. Everyone had something to dance to, if they so chose to. Happy vibes in a laid back atmosphere. Drink prices are straight forward without the touristic trap of things. Best kept secret, don't tell anyone! Also, tell everyone! Will def add this to my rotation of places when in town.

The magician was amaze!!

I went here with my gf and we met the magician who was doing tricks. Very different to what we usually experience so really appreciate he was there! Will definitely be coming back.

Incredible night

Free tacos, amazing entertainment, awesome music and a great atmosphere are just some of the words I’d use to describe Wood tavern. We had such a great time but what really made our night was the magician he was incredible. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this bar to anyone who’s after a good night in Wynwood.

First & the Best Bar in Wynwood

They are still slinging the drinks at Wynwood’s oldest drinking establishment. This is a dive bar deluxe with stadium style seating in their immense back patio which features an island bar & picnic table like seating.

Tacos are not free

Being a young female, I personally did not feel comfortable here. I was excited to go for “free tacos” as suggested online via tripsavvy. Per this article, I thought tacos would be $1.00 “if you miss the happy hours” any day of the week. However, that statement only applies to Tuesdays and the manager was not so nice when he explained it. I was not impressed with the place or the food. Women were twerking on men at the bar. I was surprised families with kids were dining here. It would not be a place I would take my kids to.

I like this place

Ok first of all, I liked the Notorious B.I.G. mural on the outside very much.

The atmosphere is very good and a very cool crowd. People come over there to dance.
this place kind of reminded me like Paradiso inAmsterdam

The service of the bar was excellent and the DJ played nice tracks.

Next time when I'm in 305, this spot will see me again

Great Place to Hang with Friends

We were quite a varied age group of adults. We had drinks with our adult children and friends. The bar servers made great drinks and were so friendly. The patrons were very friendly, too. We stayed for a few drinks and lots of conversation. A must if you are in the area.

This place was poppin

Had a business trip in Miami and wanted to see the city and get drunk/have some fun one day. I started in Miami Beach which sucked. 15$ mojitos and nothing going on. So I made my way over to wynwood which was more mellow and a better vibe. Randomly stumbled into this place the wood and had a great time. I think it was ladies night because the place was packed full of them. Younger crowd and the vibe was good.

rudest bouncers ever

Cool, crowded hipster dance club that used to be a chill bar in the early days, now with the most UNFRIENDLIEST BOUNCERS in the world : I do not understand why so much arrogance is necessary? I have never experienced such incompetent rudeness before.
(Tip: If you want a free crash course on how to 'lose your customers in 3 seconds', this is definitely the place.)
Once you get passed these blown up gorilla's, the place is good fun.
