My husband and I visited yesterday and I’m glad we didn’t waste a sunny day on this place. The architecture is striking though stupendous amount of wasted space for such a sparse collection. Very little quality, and for this I fault the curatorial approach. There...More
If this is Miami's "flagship art museum" (as described), then I can't imagine what the rest are like. Surely they are better, because this museum is so lacking in real art. I have been to art museums all over the U.S. and also some in...More

It closes at 6. They don't say a final entry anywhere. We saw some students come and go within a 20-30 minute period. We were there an hour. If you read every single sign or posting you could easily be there for 2 hours. There are also lots of neat sculptures on the grounds near the museum and parking garage.
