You know in the movies when they want to establish a setting, like the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben? This park would do well to establish Little Havana. When we visited the park was packed with elderly Cuban playing dominoes. The sounds of the dominoes clicking and the chatter of the conversation would make a perfect establishing shot. A fun place to visit, but unless you are into dominos, not someplace that is absolutely necessary to visit.

This was on my list of attractions to see, however I think due to the time of day it was closed already.

So it's not really a park per se but it is a nice little enclave that I think would be much more relaxed than the bustling rest of Calle Ocho.

There are tables inside where people can sit and play the game.

It is a nice little gated area on one side, and the other side is completely open.

It is definitely Domino-themed with Dominoes painted everywhere.

Nice area, and a wonderful theme to get you on a little slower pace.

The picture of the gates to the park shows the actual size of the park. We were so underwhelmed! Why call it a park? Totally not what I expected.

Why go..bunch of dirty tables, men playing dominoes and smoking cigars. Who cares? Parking is impossible.

Domino Park was created by the cubans in Little Havana because of their love for DOMINOES...They play daily from sunrise to sunset...they are loud and kings in trash talk. Great place!

Thought this was so cool. Groups of men sitting in the park playing dominos. How fun would that be! They didn’t seem to be taking it too seriously. Lots of laughs.

Almost every visitor to Miami will come to see Little Havana and famous Calle Ocho. Although imo this is a tourist trap, where everything's money oriented and nothing authentic, this small park in the middle of Calle 8 differs from that.
It's a cute covered area with several tables where locals gather to play domino and chess. They're pretty loud, arguing about the game, making jokes and friendly with visitors.

Enjoyed watching the culture, learning about the history and trying to understand the game. Locals are great.

Domino Park in Little Havana is a busy little area where locals gather to play dominoes. There is a welcome center booth there to get some brochures and info.

Interesting!

How to get there? In the famous 8th Street in the corner with SW 15th Ave, in Little Havana. Is next to the Old’s Havana restaurant.

Opening Hours: 24 hours, but not sure if you will see people playing during the night.

Cost: no cost.

Experience: a fun part in Cuba’s culture where Cubans get together and play Domino. Not sure if anyone can play, I did not ask. It is a very small park but has restrooms for the players and some murals that make it colorful and some small creatives designs related to the game. The place did not see crowded and has enough tables to play but all of them were busy. If you are visiting Little Havana you can just pass through, I really do not think you need to visit this place if you are not in the area.

Duration: less than 20 minutes.
