Beautiful!

Great walking/biking spot, beautiful beach! Nice restaurant on the water, cheap parking, a children's park in the shade.

Our third visit to Miami Beach and this has become my favorite afternoon spot. Accessible from a number of entrances, well maintained, shade and sun, great concrete boardwalk and pier, watch freighters, cruise ships and other boats, play areas for kids.

Beautiful trails, great views of yachts, boats and Fischer Island. Walk along South Pointe Pier and enjoy being at the end of the island. Fish if you wish, or simply watch and perhaps if they are agreeable, engage in a conversation with those that are fishing. Depending on when you visit, you may see a large cruise ship float by... Best place in SoBe to see an amazing sunset. You can walk or go by bike or rollerblades and skateboard. Don't forget your pareo and your camera to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

We drove to South Pointe, parked our car, and walked to the end of the pier for sunset. Lots of families and others, and it got "chilly" as the sun went down. Several cruise ships left the nearby port and sailed right in front of us. We were delighted that the western sunset was visible - just over the tops... More

This park reminds me of battery park but a more Florida tropical version. There is a mini water park, excellent trails and several high end eateries. If you love to watch boats, go down to the pier and bring a camera. The amount of ship traffic passing is astounding.

Just walk down the beachside promenade until you can't walk anymore. This is the end of the island. We came to watch the cruise ships depart (around 4pm on Sundays). You get amazing views of South Beach, and of the Miami skyline. There's a nice beach area, and a place for kids to play (a playground and a fountain area).... More

It was a slower pace in the morning an easy place to walk and take pictures. Good view of the beach. Does not require a lot of time to see.

We made the long walk from our hotel in Collins area down to Southpoint pier with the intent of just having a nice morning stroll and heading back for the day but we were so pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous beaches that we ended up spending the entire day and so glad we did because it was the best day...
