We went today and it was free. However the last floor exhibition was closed for renovation. All the objects were easy to comprehend and nice to learn about. If you have some time and like to learn about some art, go there. The reg admission is quite cheap.

A fabulous little museum, full of the most glorious art deco artefacts from stained glass to furniture and everything in between. Worth going to Miami beach just for the museum!

This museum is the result of the passion one man, Mitchell "Micky" Wolfson who spent a lifetime collecting man made objects until he could finally display them. The collection is exceedingly well presented.

One favorite was an oil painting by Adele Watson from the 1920's called "Protection" -- beautifully powerful. An impressive collection of posters, pottery, and furniture.

I really enjoyed the 2 floors of exhibits. The top floor was an exhibit on dutch design, and the next floor was a curated display of selected pieces organized thematically. What I loved the most was how every part of the museum was a piece of art. Starting from the entrance hall covered in tapestries, to the historical elevator. Even... More

We love this place - the special exhibits are always interesting; the permanent collection is excellent; the place is small, so you can see everything without exhausting yourself; the building is beautiful; and everything is very well-curated.

Visited twice, the first visit really set us into the frame. The shop really had some good articles for sale. Best to start at the top and work down, the concrete stairs ahve good design features.
