Located in an old firehouse/jail this small museum - for just $2 - is worth it. Less than an hour if you read almost everything. Check out the old tourist booklet, attempting to sell folks on coming to Mt. Dora. In the "jail" section. A...More

For only $2 a person, I wasn't expecting there to be a whole lot to this museum but I was pleasantly surprised. The museum itself is really only 2 rooms but is full of antique pieces with a lot of rich history. We were given...More

This museum gives you a good history lesson on Mount Dora. The person working there had a lot of information to share with us. It doesn't take long to walk through and it cost two dollars a person.

Look back at Mt Dora's history was interesting, the curator for the day was very talkative and I think we learned more about her than the town. She was very informative on their local history. She was very good with the children who went thru...More

We stumbled upon this quaint museum and were really glad we did! Our guide, Susan, was hysterical and knowledgeable. It was nice to see some of Mt. Dora's original artifacts and learn the back story of the famous Donnelly house.
