Finally, made it here! Very special and interesting. It's rustic and you'll want to get there early for a seat in the shade. Closed end of April so check online.

Training facility for summer shows. Nice event. Horses not up to Vienna standards but it is a training facility. Good to bring house guests. Training was nicely done.

I watched a performance by these beautiful horses and talented riders last month with my friends from The Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch. We all love animals, and we were so impressed by the obvious love and connection between the riders and their horses. I have wanted to see them for years and I was not disappointed. What a great... Colonel Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Ranch is a small show involving only the horses at this stable. We all found it entertaining, informative and educational. These animals exhibited such power, poise, strength, agility. It was delightful! It can get pretty hot. Arriving early to find a place in the shade is a good idea.

We went there to not only to see the horses but to see the family members of Colonel Herrmann. We were there for a training session and we were not disappointed. We sat on the far side of the arena, in the shade of a large live oak on a warm sunny winter's day. Really enjoyed the whole day, even... More

Not a lot to see before the show. Maybe arrive a half hour before. The stallions are beautiful and the show, though a bit slow, was very nice. The MC added nice notes and history. Bring a hat - there is some shading around show corral but it can be spotty.

It was great to watch the horses perform. One year old got bored but was able to run and play. 7,8,10, and 18 year old had a great time. The show lasted about 1 1/2 hours. We were able to go in the barn and see horses before and after the show. Everyone was very friendly. They have concessions available... More

This ranch is home to many gorgeous Lippizan horses, descendants of those featured in the Disney movie "Miracle of the White Stallions". During WWII, Colonel Otto Herrmann assisted General George Patton in sneaking the stallions out of Austria, saving them from the German army. The Herrmann family ( now in the fifth generation) breed and train these beautiful animals, and... More

I learned a lot of history and heritage going to the practice they offer seats at on Thur, Fri at 3 pm and Sat at 10 for a $5 donation. Slow times between horses being out, so my 4 year old got bored, but plenty of space to move about and let her play. Would have been great if her... More
