The park is nice and goes to the beach, but the hidden gem the walkway that goes over to the Intracoastal waterway. We saw manatees playing in the water and dolphins chasing fish and jumping in the water. It was so exciting! But bug spray is a must!! I got eaten up. And the best time for viewing the wildlife... Been coming to this beach since I was like 8 years old! I am 31 now and have my own kids (10 & 4) and we love it so much. The only downfall is that fishermen will fish off shore and I'm always paranoid its too close to the swimmers.

We were thrilled to find manatees in the cove by the playground on this sunny, breezy day. We will be back with more family for sure! The other park visitors told us about the manatees. On a warm day they will come in the cove Along with dolphins. It was a cool (65 degree) and windy day and we saw... More

I had read a little history about this place and was surprised when I over heard a friend suggest to my wife this would be a good location to watch dolphin. After her description I thought it may offer a great vantage point to watch the sunset. To help you find the part of the park I am referring to... More

This is a nice, sandy beach with rest facilities and tennis courts. Across the street is a playground area and a small lagoon where manatees and dolphins can sometimes be seen.

this is just a small section of beach dedicated to MAry McLeod Bethune. If you're staying on the beach you already have beach access.

WE parked at the carpark and walked along the beach toward Apollo beach - don't really know however where one ends and the other begins - the beaches here as all great as far as I am concerned.

After a day at the Marine Science Center we wanted to see if we could find some Manatees in the wild, but didn't really want to drop $100 for the wife, 6 year old #nerdgirl and I to do a boat excursion. We saw some reviews of this park and since it's about two miles from our time share we... More

This is a favorite place for tourists and locals. Many surfers use the beach here. There are usually many people using the pavillions on weekends, and parking is usually ample.
