Nokomis beach has the best of both worlds. Let me explain, siesta key is gorgeous but it's so popular that parking is hard to find and you find more sharks teeth in Venice but Venice doesn't allow alcohol on their beaches. So Nokomis beach is the perfect compromise, there are plenty of parking spaces, there are some sharks teeth to... More

Easy access with plenty of parking and comfort stations. Not too crowded, plenty of sea shells and just enough surf for boogie boarding make this our favorite beach. We visit both the beach opposite the draw bridge and the jetty beach at the end of the road. Both are great.

Just 10 minutes from Venice, this is the BEST beach in the area because the sand is nearly white and fine grain. Unlike Venice Beach, Caspersens Park, and the beach near Venice pier, this sparkles, is wide and long. It only lacks coconut palms along the beach to compare to some beaches in the Philippines. Access is easy, parking free.... More

Wonderful beach. Peaceful. Many people, yet not crowded. Drum circle excellent on Sat nite, you could hear down the beach a good ways. They play the last half hour to sunset.

We hit several beaches on our vacation, but this was the favorite. Beautiful water, nice sand, lots of seashells. Kids found a few shark teeth. Maniscota Beach was the best for shark teeth. But we loved the little snack shack at Nokomis, so this tipped the scales to make it our favorite!

My boyfriend took me here one evening to see the sun set it was so romantic. Beautiful beach and I have also been to the drum circle on this beach which was an awesome time. Great place for couples and families. Diffenetly make this one of the beaches you stop at on this coast.

Located on the start of Casey Key, Nokomis beach is a treasure. Venice isn't the only place to dig up a few sharks teeth, you can find them here too!. Easy beach access, plenty of free parking, restrooms and foot showers to lose the sand before you get in your car. There's a new burger and beer stand to get... More

This beach is great as there are no big rocks like at Venice beach, ample parking, restrooms, outside showers, Service dogs are welcome and the conch shells come rolling in around 4-5pm.
