Easy to get to by boat whether from Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island or Pine Island. Peaceful beautiful waters that are usually a soft turquise tone. Do not miss if you are out boating, but watch for shallow water. Absolutely beautiful!

Our time share is beside Redfish Pass and it is very relaxing to watch the tide come in and out with boats in the current. We watch fishermen, dolphins, manatees and birds. Bring a camera, binoculars and fishing gear. If you're fortunate enough to visit...More

Lots of fish- follow the birds and the dolphins and there you are! Hire a boat captain or go on your own- a lovely calm water atmosphere

we are not great fisherman, just a family with a boat on vacation. the kids caught a lot of catfish and small grouper and were so happy! we also drove over the the nearby sandbar, swam and checked out the sunken sailboat.

We enjoyed this place, bring a book or just plan on sitting and watching the world go by. Bring an umbrella and drinks. Need shade this time of year on Florida. Better yet, wear long sleeve sun block shirts. Especially the kids. Highly recommend

Unless you are staying on the property. The last two miles of Captiva (the drivable last two miles) are private property. This wasn't clear to us from any of our research. We have small children and didn't come prepared for a two mile walk, so...More

This is a water pass between Captiva and North Captiva. Usually as the tides change the current through this pass move very quickly, especially along the shore. Because it is a direct communication between the gulf and the Bay ,if you throw in a fishing...More

Redfish Pass is a channel from the Gulf around the north side of Captiva island. We want sailing there during an Offshore Sailing School class. It's a fairly tight channel with a lot of shoal water on either side. Water quality varies with the tide...More

I've heard that you can dine at the resort's restaurant, then drive to Redfish without actually staying at the resort.

No, no ferry. Not really a land destination. Both south , South Seas Island Resort, and north, Kohler Plumbing Family, are private lands. Many private fishing guides will take you there for fishing.
