Overview
More
At a temperature of 87 degrees, Warm Mineral Springs contains 9 million gallons of fresh water which replenishes itself every two hours. This natural resource is comprised of 51 minerals, which is the highest mineral content of any natural spring in the United States. The spring has been added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places partly because it is one of the most important underwater archeological sites in America. During exploratory dives in the 1950s, the remains of a prehistoric hunter and seven other humans were discovered in a very well preserved state. Similarly, evidence of several creatures have been extracted from the spring, including saber tooth tigers, giant sloths, tortoises, and even camels. Today, with a goal of increased wellness for everyone, Warm Mineral Springs offers a natural experience to residents and visitors alike who want to soak in the warm waters.

I visited the hot springs last Summer and was surprised by it. It is bigger than I imagined. I have lived nearby for almost 10 years and no body ever talks about this place. It is not promoted or advertised either. The Springs are easy...More

An interesting place which seems to be mostly visited by Russians and Eukranians who float around for hours. They aren't all that friendly either, but the water is warm and it feels very good on your skin and hair. The building is a bit shabby,...More

This is very worth seeing - a historically profound site. This was a cave that has 10,000-year-old human remains at the base of the 200-foot deep lake. Very beautiful setting with giant live oaks, Spanish moss, bamboo grove, and a pleasant lawn and chairs. Fellow...More

The whole experience at the lake could have been more pleasant if the property does not look that shabby and unkept, and the floors are clean, and the toilets do not smell that bad, and a small cafe or some other services are added. Music...More

Warm salty waters flow around the pond and offer soothing, healthy minerals to the skin and hair. The mild, overcast day was wonderful for the visit. Recommended that you bring your oversized hats and sunglasses; perhaps, neck shades. Chairs are provided. It appears the only...More

No dr could rid my excruciating pain. I could not walk at all. I remembered the healing powers in the springs, so I soak the whole day. When I came out, no pain and I regained walking. Such a miracle!!!! Madeline2
