They obviously let the forest wild reminding of a National Park without touching the area. Thus, the walk on the horses was in a much nicer area than in the Apalachicola National Forest where they let young slim trees grow to clearcut them later. The...More

The horse trail ride is kinda one of those few "secret" things which Disney still does... and it's worth doing! But if you're napoleon and you're used to doing heavy calvary charges on the weekend... this clearly isn't for you. Otherwise it's a nice change...More

Overall negative experience here. The guard at the gate that you have to stop in to get to the ranch was a jerk. My son loved the pony rides and the stables. The workers there were good. We then did a carriage ride that I...More

We just happened to be at the barn at the right time (2:30 p.m.) for the barn tour. It starts off in the small museum and gives you a close up of the 1907 calliope before you learn about the horses and how the ranch...More

Is it possible to visit the ranch for free? I don't want to make a ride, just take photos and visit the place. Thank you

the horse stable is open for viewing and photos-- other than that and a small arena where the riders saddle up, there's not much to see. But it's basically right next to the main parking lot.

My daughter and I are experienced rider and wondered if they do rides where you can trot and canter a little rather then just a pony ride .

May is usually a slower month at Disney. When we traveled in May, we did not have any problem at all getting horses.
