This place was a great place even thought we did not go in the actual park and pay 5 dollars it would have been worth it. We went fishing down the road some and enjoyed the park through the free access.

We camped here for three days and the stay overall was pleasant. As has been mentioned, the dusty roads and sandy campsites make for more of a rugged experience when compared to the completely paved and barren campgrounds commercially available. Super friendly staff. Even though many of the rangers were off trying to clean up after Matthew blew in, the... More

This is a nice park with minimal trails for walking but dusty roads that lead you around the park. It took a beaten from hurricane Matthew with much tree debris on the sites and throughout park. The staff are probably the friendliest and most helpful of all the parks I have been too. Shout out to Chandler and Ranger Scott... More

We love to rent kayaks at the park when the weather turns cooler & bring along a picnic lunch. A very pretty spot to walk the trails or our preference, to get in the water with kayaks. Enjoy!

Overall camping was great. It was nerve racking getting the camper in and out because of trees. Fishing was great caught a red and almost landed a huge snook. Will defiantly come back but maybe with a tent.

Best to call ahead 386-673-0022 for concession times as it was closed during our visit. According to the brochure, canoes can be rented at the concession as well as purchasing camping supplies, etc. Call the park for camping: 386-676-4050. While our visit was not long, I did enjoy reading of the history of the Timucua who once lived in this... More
