There are plenty of places to visit in this area whether you prefer nice, cultivated camp grounds or primitive areas. Hiking trails, lakes to swim in, rivers to tube, kayak or canoe in... a wonderful place to take the family.

Had a great time with the hubby and our fur baby canoeing down the river. I was so surprised they were okay with pets! That's so hard to find.

Several places to rent canoes, kayaks or inner toobs; I would suggest Adventures Unlimited for rentals. Be prepared for a drive but worth the trip.

When can you go canoeing? Are there rentals there on site? Or do you have to bring your own equipment?
