The Saenger Theatre has been called the Grand Dame of Palafox, but the Saenger Theatre is much more than a Great Lady; she is a survivor. Opened in 1925, its Spanish Baroque architecture, in opulent Rococo style took nearly thirteen months to complete. In the...More

We have seen multiple shows at this theatre, the last two being rock concerts. In the past we have sat in the orchestra and were perfectly comfortable. The last two times we sat in the balcony and found our knees up against the seat in...More

My wife and I saw the traveling Chicago The Musical Show here and the theater was surprisingly nice. I grew up in Chicago where there are great theaters so I can be a bit picky sometimes on how things are but they do a fine...More

Great place to see music, dance, comedy or drama any show! The Spanish Baroque/Rococo style theater, which first opened in 1925, looks better than ever after a $15 million renovation and expansion. Acoustics are excellent and there is not a bad seat in the house!

The theater is lovely. However we were greeted with metal detecting wands. The crowd was noisy and talked all during the opening act. There was a 30 minute intermission before Nora Jones started. They didn't blink the lights so then people were hurrying in with...More

Thank you for your review of the Saenger Theatre. Unfortunately, wanding and bag searches are becoming a standard practice in performance venues and it's truly for the safety of our guests. For all performances, we do flash the lights five minutes prior to a show...More
