Nature at it's best!

This a a stretch of beach that is uninhabited. The views and the beach are stunning! It was like we were the only ones who had ever stepped foot on the beach.

We visit Gulf Islands several times a year, and when we go to the beach, we head directly towards Fort Pickens. We bought an annual pass, and if you go 3 times in a year, you've more than paid for it. Our favorite snorkeling spot is at Fort Pickens on the sound side, but there is so much to love... More

If you are looking for the bluest water and whitest beaches, look no further. The Gulf Islands National Seashore is still the place to enjoy relaxing in the sun. Swim in a life guarded area.

Quiet, serene, almost empty in October.......perfect place to relax. This beach is long, the sand is sugar white, the waters clear and amazing shades of blue/green. Just an oasis of perfect spots to chill out.

We drove to Ft. Pickens on Veterans Day--free admission to the National Park! The old fort is fascinating for history buffs, and there's ample information available to learn the roles it's played through the last 150+ years. The park end of the island is very quiet, with beautiful dunes adorned with sea oats and brush. The drifts of white sand... More

Not as crowded as a lot of beaches. I love coming here. Enjoyable and pleasant people and places to eat are great.

We visited during the week in October, so the beaches were almost empty. The sand is brilliantly white, the views beautiful and the water very inviting. Miles of beach allows you to pick your location.

Always worth the trip out to relax on the beach. Beautiful white sand, crystal clear blue-green waters, and even found some really nice shells this time around.

You can't go wrong with a visit to this area. Sugar sand white beaches that sometimes resemble snow, crystal clear water and plenty of room to stretch out - in fact you may even end up on the beach alone. So many photo opportunities with a variety of birds to photograph. We also visited the area towns and Ft. Pickens.... More
