Our kids wanted the experience of horseback riding so we made reservations with Shenandoah Stables. The horses are very gentle and are selected for you based on your riding skills.Don't be deterred by the dated look of the stables. The handlers are very courteous.

Enjoyed the hour ride at a very reasonable rate. It is a very basic ride great for beginners. The horses know exactly what to do even if you don't touch the reigns. Did get to trot a couple of times not just walk. Very old and worn stables with geniune people working there. Only dissapointing part is hearing all the... More

We had a great experience here with our young kids. Place is a little shabby but the horses are very calm.
