We enjoyed a leisurely walk through this expansive garden. I have never been to a place with so many memorial benches! We could detect some hurricane damage. Not too many flowers are in bloom at this time of year. Lots of history in this one location.

Our family of 4 including two girls ages 6 and 9 recently visited the Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens and were pleasantly surprised to find how peaceful and beautiful the gardens were. It was a visit we decided to make just on a whim to kill some time during our pre cruise visit to the area. Very informative and fun to... More

My husband and I took our kids (8 and 10) here. We were able to meander the paths for about an hour and a half. It isn't super exciting, but they had fun and considering the cost, who can complain.

We saw the sign for the on Rte1 and didn't know what to expect. This park offers walking trails, plants, Memorial Gardens and ruins of and old sugar mill. I found the ruins and history really interesting. The sugaring process was easily imagined with the placards by the pavilion. I do not see this holding teenagers attention for long. Middle... More

Walking through the gardens was more than I expected. The sugar mills and how they operated was good along with history of who, various tribes, operated them. Walk way to the back of the gardens to see large statues of prehistoric animals. Worth going to and parking is easy.

We Love Sugar Mill Gardens and have been going there off and on for about 30 years. It's well maintained by volunteers and is just a lovely place to walk, sit and relax, enjoy some local history.

We have returned three times and continue to learn more each trip. Very interesting to us. Nothing fancy worth strolling through and snapping some pictures.

Looking at options for 'things to do' in Port Orange, we found the historic sugar mill listed #1 on TripAdvisor. We didn't realize that the property was converted to a botanical garden. I was more amazed to find the remnants of a one-time dinosaur park attraction. The sugar mill ruins are quite interesting, whether you're a long time Floridian or... More

We had spent several months looking for an outdoor spot to get married. It seemed that spots were either way too expensive or not pretty enough for us. That is until we found this little gem just two miles from our house! There are several areas to choose from and the price was surprisingly affordable. I would definitely recommend this... More
