This was a highly interesting and entertaining tour. The boarding house is located on the first street in the first town in the USA, and the history behind it is fascinating, giving a vivid account of how life was in the 1700's. The lady who did our tour was excellent. You feel as if you've been taken back in time.... More

A beautiful well maintained grounds which encludes several buildings that have been restored showing both the Spanish influence, then English influence then early American vacation B&B's.

I brought a friend to this charming historical boarding house, and even though I had been there before, I still loved it. Walking around the house gives you a vivid picture of what it would have been like to travel back then and stay in this rooming house. You venture through the bedrooms, dining room, kitchen (among other rooms) and... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this while passing the Military Hospital. Rate was reasonable for a tour. Our tour guide, Mike, was awesome. He told us all about the house, the people who lived there, historic background, and described and showed us objects that were used in the past. It was well worth it to have stopped in here.

The tour was excellent. It was very fun to be able to walk through the old building and see how they would have lived back then in the 1500s. The tour was elaborate, seeing every room available and hearing the history behind some artifacts.

This is a must-do tour. You can see what was built in the 1700's and how it was used as a boarding house. All the bedrooms and parlors have a fireplace and very interesting layouts. The tour guide I had was excellent explaining all the details and all of that Century's luxury items used. You will be so pleasantly surprised... More

As soon as you walk through the gates, prepare to step into another century. This is not a hokey, commercialized attraction, like some others we have here in town. This is the real deal. It's a fascinating place with a rich history, beautifully and lovingly restored, and you can really sense what it might have been like to visit St... More
