We wanted to take a long walk on a sandy beach but it is sometimes difficult finding a parking spot at the public access beaches. For $8/car we were able to enter this state park with plenty of parking and great beach access. They even...More

So many folks have told us about this park, and especially the campground, just had to see for ourselves. Camped there for 3 nights and really liked the open, woodsy feel, and yet we were minutes to the city. The beaches are a short distance...More

Amazingly, only 5 minutes from Old Town. It's all about the beach and it's spectacular with wide open sands that appear to sweep endlessly in either direction. This park offers inlets for fishing and kayaking, picnic areas, camping and a nicely equipped playground. The covered...More

This park is gorgeous. I took my granddaughters here for a couple days and we loved it. The beach is beautiful and a perfect place to spend the day.

This park is just south of the old city and offers a great variety of options. Paddle board and kayak rentals are available to enjoy the "salt run" down to the lighthouse or St A inlet if your arms allow. The salt run is shallow...More

The state park has a beautiful beach with dunes that is a welcome change from the developed shorelines across much of Florida. The old Spanish coquina quarries are also interesting to visit. This only downside is the $8 entry fee seems excessive.

We had a blast here, the park is excellent. The location is great for visiting St. Augustine, very close proximity. The beach at the park is very nice.

Nice long beach, calm waters, plenty of parking, ample bathrooms with changing room, and nice food options at the concession stand.

It is a beautiful park, very clean and great spot to camp just outside of the town. Bathrooms were in a good condition. Wold definitely camp here again.

Yes. Fishing in the salt run area of the park is probably your best bet. Somewhat less crowded. Usually.

I'm sorry, I don't know. We don't eat meat so didn't need to look for a grill.

Not loud. Campsites are pretty private. One of our favorite parks on east coast. Quiet the times we've stayed there.
